Hi There!

A singer-songwriter originally from foggy San Francisco, CA now living in urban Portland, OR, Ariel has been playing music all up and down the West Coast for over 10 years. Her ethereal and haunting music is inspired by her natural surroundings, and by the depth and complexity of emotion humans experience navigating this strange world. Enthralled by the constantly shifting inner landscape of the human mind and how people are able to encompass and embody such a myriad of dichotomies, Ariel hopes to revel in the “between” space and help others see the beauty there as well. That we can hold such unconditional love for humanity and also such complete disgust, that sadness and happiness seem to bloom from the same place within the body, that death and life are so integrally and inextricably intertwined, Ariel finds power in these dichotomies and through her music encourages others to find that power as well.

It is my firm belief that art, music, and expression are vital to human life—and especially vital to progress and change.

Artistic and musical expression allow us to share our emotional landscape with others, allow us to connect in a unique and genuine way, and give us an outlet to digest challenging and intense experiences in a healthy way. That chance of connection, of asking for and feeling that reciprocated connection in others is what motivates me to continue to create and share, and I believe there is such great and equalizing power and potential in this process of sharing and being heard.
