On the Precipice (EP)

Precipice.jpg

This EP was named for the title track on the album that I wrote about my spouse and their transition. Watching the human I love most transition into the beautiful human they have always been before my very eyes was and continues to be one of the greatest honors of my life. The song is applicable to anyone coming into their truest form, being able to see themselves clearly and with love. The EP deals with themes of the raw and enchanting power of nature, the complexity of human emotions and relationships, the often surreal and dream-like experiences of being alive, and the common thread we all share in being humans in this strange world.

Ancestral Stories (Single)

Colonizers have always used nature to their benefit — exploiting natural surroundings without regard for nurturing and protecting them. If we don’t listen and learn from the native communities who have been living symbiotically with their surroundings and acting as stewards to the natural world for centuries we will not only destroy our world, but ourselves in the process. This song is about our relationship in the capitalistic, modern Western world with nature, urging fellow humans to do something to protect our world before it’s too late.

(All proceeds from the release of Ancestral Stories were donated directly to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute.

I also encourage you to donate directly to them, or to other BIPOC Trans/Queer led organizations — wonderful humans are out there working tirelessly towards a more equitable and inclusive future, support them.)
